Hillsdale is set into the West Hills anchored by Ida B Wells High and a neighborhood center with places to eat and shop, a year-round farmers market, and a stunning library. Hillsdale is an established neighborhood that feels settled and distinctly Southwest Portland, with everyday errands close to home and downtown a short trip away.
NEIGHOBRHOOD FAVORITES
Hillsdale Farmers’ Market: A year-round gathering place for local produce and baked goods in the Ida B Wells parking lot. Open every Sunday in the summer and every other week in the winter.
Baker & Spice: A neighborhood bakery that’s a gem of the nieghborhood. The best Challah bread in town.
Hillsdale Food Park: A handful of food carts on Capitol Highway with options ranging from tacos and Thai food to sushi. It makes an easy lunch or dinner stop when everyone wants something different.
McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery & Public House: A casual neighborhood pub for relaxed nights out. McMenamins is the original brewer in Portland.
Sasquatch Brewing: A cozy Hillsdale brewpub on Capitol Highway, serving its own beer alongside burgers, sandwiches, and other pub favorites. A collection of games and toys make this a great stop for dinner with little ones.
Hillsdale Library: A beautiful PNW modern build that is a longstanding neighborhood anchor tucked into Hillsdale along Sunset Boulevard.
