Living in the Multnomah Village neighborhood in, Portland Oregon
Multnomah Village is one of Southwest Portland’s most recognizable neighborhoods and the central hub of Southwest Portland. There’s a genuine small-town-style main street lined with independent shops, restaurants, cafés, and local businesses. The neighborhood grew around an Oregon Electric Railway stop, and its compact stretch of Capitol Highway is unique to the westside.
The neighborood has a mix of small and large lots and roads can be a bit narrow with a mix of paved and unimproved roads. Spring Garden Park is a recent new addition set on a 4 acre rolling hill with beautiful views, community events, and a great playground with a summer splash pad.
NEIGHOBRHOOD FAVORITES
Johns Market Place: The Village’s longtime beer shop has a massive bottle selection, draft pours, and smash burgers. This original location always has a good crowd and a local favorite.
Gabriel Park: 89 acres that include sports fields, summer and winter dog parks, pickleball courts, miles of walking trails, a skate park, and huge playground.
Level Beer: The brewery’s taproom in Multnomah Village is an easy stop for a pint with family and friends. A handful of pinball machines are great to keep little ones entertained. Solid outdoor seating options.
Multnomah Arts Center: A neighborhood hub for visual, performing, and literary arts classes, with a gallery and community events. The building was originally an elementary school up until 1979.
Yalla: Just about everyone’s go-to for an elevated night out or dinner with friends. A Mediterranean smokehouse in the heart of the Village with good outdoor seating options even in the shoulder seasons.
Proper Pint: An intimate neighborhood taproom where neighbors gather for Timbers Games and to tie a few on. Dog friendly!
Village Coffee: A coffee shop before coffee shops got hip. The village has a handful of great coffee options, Village Coffee is the original.

Southwest Community Center: The local hub for fitness, classes, indoor recreation, and a large indoor pool with both lap swimming and kids play with a large water slide and splash pad area.
